This policy applies to the IMPOSTOR iOS app and the official IMPOSTOR website. It covers information processed by us directly and by third-party service providers we use to operate the app and website, support anonymous sign-in, process App Store subscriptions, serve ads, and handle support requests.

If you use the website contact form, we may receive the information you submit, such as your name, email address, subject, and message. We use this information to respond to support requests, review feedback, and improve IMPOSTOR. Please do not send passwords, payment card details, government identification numbers, or other sensitive personal information through the contact form.

The app uses Firebase Authentication to create an anonymous customer ID for each installation. This ID helps the app identify the install without requiring an email address or password. The app also uses Apple StoreKit and App Store services to load subscription products, process purchases, restore purchases, and determine whether Premium access is active. Apple may process information related to your subscription transactions, purchase history, and subscription status in order to provide these services.

The app uses Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for advertising, including rewarded ads that can unlock certain categories for free users. When an ad is requested, shown, or measured, Google and its partners may process information such as device and app identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP, diagnostics, ad interaction data, and similar technical information for ad delivery, measurement, fraud prevention, and related purposes. If you subscribe to Premium, the app is designed to remove in-app ads and unlock Premium-only categories and custom-pack features while your subscription is active. Ad-related data practices may also be governed by Google’s own privacy terms and disclosures.

To make the app work properly, IMPOSTOR stores some information locally on your device, such as your selected language, app preferences, anonymous customer ID cache, Premium/paywall acknowledgement state, category unlock state for rewarded categories, custom categories and their word-hint entries, player names you enter for a round, and similar gameplay settings. This local storage is used for app functionality and convenience. We do not intentionally use your custom categories or player names for our own advertising or marketing.

The website uses Firebase configuration and may use analytics-related services that collect technical information about visits and usage, such as browser or device details, approximate location inferred from IP, page interactions, and general diagnostics. This information helps us understand site performance and improve the website experience.

We use information to operate IMPOSTOR, maintain app functionality, remember settings, enable rewarded category unlock flows, load and restore subscriptions, determine Premium access, remove ads for Premium users, understand product and website usage, improve performance and stability, respond to support requests, detect abuse or fraud, and comply with legal obligations.

We may share information with service providers that help us run IMPOSTOR, including Google Firebase for anonymous authentication, Firebase Analytics for website analytics, Google Mobile Ads / AdMob for ads and ad measurement, Apple platform infrastructure and App Store services for subscription processing and restoration, and FormSubmit or similar website contact-form processors used to deliver support messages to our inbox. We may also disclose information if required by law, legal process, or to protect rights, safety, users, or the integrity of the service.

We keep information for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining the app, measuring performance, complying with legal obligations, resolving disputes, preventing abuse, and handling support messages. Local app data stored on your device may remain until you remove it, reset the app, or delete the app.

You can stop using the app at any time, remove the app from your device, choose not to submit information through the contact form, and manage your subscriptions through your Apple Account subscription settings. Premium users can also choose not to view ads by keeping an active Premium subscription. Depending on where you live, you may also have privacy rights regarding access, correction, deletion, or limitation of certain personal information. IMPOSTOR is a general audience party game and is not intended for children under 13, or under a higher minimum age where required by local law. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children through the contact form. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us and we will review and address the issue.

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures appropriate to the nature of the information we handle. However, no method of transmission, storage, or processing is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date on this page. Continued use of the app or website after changes become effective means the updated policy will apply.
